A brown bag lunch addressing the strategic, economic, technology and security implications for the United States of China's development of the blue economy concept.

Kathleen Walsh, Professor of National Security Affairs at the US Naval War College, will be discussing different aspects of China’s developing blue economy including the competitive opportunities and challenges that arise, how and why the United States' and China's development of a blue economy differs but also shares common characteristics (e.g., development of "blue" innovation clusters), as well as the implications of all of this for future US-China relations.
