Startup Alley at 1PF 2025: A History & Invitation to Apply
Background
For the fourth year, SeaAhead and Oceantic Network are partnering to host Startup Alley at the 2025 International Partnering Forum (IPF) conference. At Startup Alley, founders who are developing novel technologies in the ocean renewables sector have the chance to pitch their startups to an audience of attendees. SeaAhead will hand-select 10-12 candidates this year to deliver brief pitches, coalescing on the most pressing issues in the offshore renewables industry.
Assessing the Need
“Startup Alley at IPF is an excellent opportunity for startups to meet potential customers, partners and regulators, gaining visibility they wouldn’t have otherwise,” said Hailey Bathurst last year, Director of Business Development at SeaAhead.
Our partnership was created to link ocean renewables stakeholders with startups offering cutting edge solutions that can propel the industry forward. Startup Alley invites startups and IPF attendees to mutually benefit from conversation and explore opportunities for collaboration.
SeaAhead works with startups one-on-one to hone their pitches, ensuring that their five-minutes in the spotlight are used effectively. Looking beyond the pitch event, the IPF conference unlocks access to thousands of industry professionals, whether they are destined to become advisors, mentors, customers, or friends.
“[Startup] success depends on advancing their journey—connecting with the right customers, scaling their solutions, and building partnerships that transform potential into progress.” - Nadir Ait-Laoussine, VP of Platform & Programs at SeaAhead
